Guatemala is the country of eternal spring and is dotted with many tropical warm water rivers that are ideal for white water rafting. Some of them, where rafting is possible all year around, are located in the Peten and near archeological sites like Tikal,Ceibal and Aguateca.
Others, the so called rainy season rivers, receive most of their water during the wet season (from July to September) from the highlands and are ending up in the pacific ocean. Those rivers are ideal for exiting and action packed white water rafting adventures during those month.
On a white water rafting tour you enjoy and experience Guatemala in a different way. Not only will you travel on a river, but you will also marvel a huge variety of bird life such as Toucans, Kingfishers among others. You will also see native Indian settlements, native Indians, lush vegetation, canyons and mountains. Rely on all GuatemalaVentures Tours, but specially on our rafting tours you get off the beaten track and in real touch with Gatemala's culture and beauty. |
